What went on at MIPIM PropTech New York
The fourth edition of MIPIM PropTech New York welcomed 1,500+ property and technology professionals from 50 counties to the Metropolitan Pavilion.
MIPIM PropTech director Nicolas Kozubek launched the two-day event, in partnership with specialist VC firm MetaProp, by revealing plans to move it to New York’s Javits Center, expecting three times the amount of delegates in 2020.
America’s friendly next-door neighbour Canada is a market to watch out for, with a bunch of emerging tech companies and talent appearing at the show, as well as exciting talks surround Sidewalk Labs’ Toronto project.
During a VC perspectives panel, Andrea Jang of JLL Spark, urged companies to look towards Canada, her home time, due to the good tech talent available, government support, access to the British Commonwealth and with French being a requirement, an easier route into France.
