Smart Spaces future-proofs Paddington Square

The building technologies supplier has partnered with property company Sellar to deliver a smart-enabled user experience platform for occupiers of the development at the heart of Paddington’s regeneration.

Smart Spaces delivered a comprehensive suite of solutions designed to create a sustainable, inclusive workplace experience for Paddington Square’s occupiers. Smart Spaces’ flagship workplace app with contactless building access including multi-wallet for participating occupier levels, smart visitor management and community engagement services, will reduce the friction on arrival and encourage those returning to office in search of in-person collaborative working.

Additionally, Smart Spaces’ platform will enable real-time energy monitoring, giving Paddington Square’s property managers Knight Frank Promise access to live data on energy consumption and waste. This promotes shared sustainability goals by facilitating the accurate oversight of day-to-day energy use and providing the toolset for ongoing operational emissions reductions.

Paddington Square comprises 350,000 sq ft of modern fully let office space. As well as delivering space for over 40 retail and dining brands and a significant volume of new public space coming to market as the major regeneration project completes later this year. Home to 3,500 office workers, Paddington Square benefits from exceptional connectivity both nationally and within London through its proximity to Paddington Station. Additional active and green commuting routes via the Regents Canal and nearby parks are supported by the provision of 530 cycle spaces.

Matthew O’Halloran, head of global occupier services at Smart Spaces, commented: “Paddington Square is one of London’s most exciting and ambitious new developments, providing occupiers with access to exceptional office space, amenities and national connectivity. The installation of Smart Spaces’ comprehensive suite of services will promote occupier wellbeing and support the scheme’s ESG credentials, contributing to the delivery of an inclusive, sustainable and frictionless workplace experience.”
