First speakers named for PlaceTech Trend Talk London
Hear from First Base, MAPP, Bryden Wood and more at this half-day briefing on property’s digital journey due to be held on 19 September.
This event is suitable for property professionals from all disciplines interested in the future of working in property.
PlaceTech has gathered together a cross-section of property people who are seeing significant change in their businesses and projects from applied innovation.
The first wave of speakers has been confirmed, with more due to be announced during the summer.
- Robert Stark, senior executive director of strategy + operations, MAPP – with a strategic role involving oversight of all MAPP’s divisions, Robert ensures that teams are effectively structured and connected, explores and implements new technology to aid growth
- Barry Jessup, director, First Base – leads the developer’s acquisitions and joint ventures, with a key focus on identifying and interpreting emerging consumer trends. Passionate about integrating the latest technology in developments
- Phil Langley, head of creative technologies at Bryden Wood – the architecture practice is known for its innovation, most recently as part of the team that created Prism, an app for designing modular homes in automated software, for Sadiq Khan, mayor of London
- Julian Barker, head of smart places, British Land – digital placemaking will be at the heart of the next generation of property and £12bn developer-investor British Land is at the forefront of figuring out how to deliver it
There will be further speaker names released next week. The event will feature a mixture of presentations on property companies’ approaches and findings from using new methods and panel discussions exploring themes and issues in the current market.
