Open ECX toasts strong year for construction software

Reporting a host of new and repeat business wins, the company is now working with users including Taylor Woodrow, GMI Construction, McLaughlin & Harvey and Henry Boot Construction; with existing customers such as Readie and EH Smith and committing to new, long-term partnerships.

The company said 2020 was one of its most successful years since launching in 2012. Providing cloud-based solutions for the construction industry and supply chain businesses, Open ECX operates on a global scale, with a large international client base spanning across 21 countries.

The impressive wins come after a year of substantial growth – as Open ECX’s WebContractor, a product that allows for a simple end-to-end management process of payment applications, reported over 3,500 confirmed users. With £628m worth of applications approved in 2020, this is a 28% increase on the previous year. All three Open ECX solutions have processed more transactions than ever before, at higher values.

The Preston-based business has acquired an additional office in Manchester city centre where the commercial team will be based.

A driving force behind the company’s success is the team – which has also expanded over the last 12 months, with 10 new hires across the commercial and marketing structures.
