Leica Geosystems and Geomap agree 3D asset mapping rollout

Leica Geosystems, part of the €3.9bn turnover Stockholm-listed Hexagon group, has agreed a partnership with Geomap of Italy to support customers in producing digital twins of assets.

Geomap is an integrated workplace management system which stores maps of building interiors and their mechanical assets in the cloud. The data acquired with Leica scanners will be manageable with Geomap’s platform.

Geomap’s platform, integrated with Leica Geosystems’ reality capture solutions, provides customers with the ability to extend the life of mission-critical assets, assess maintenance remotely, provide managers accurate and reliable information and use geospatial information for indoor navigation and location-based services.

Digitising building portfolios in the Geomap software solution has significant benefits on asset and maintenance tracking and cost savings.
