Deetu, the data and technology hub of multi-disciplinary engineering firm BWB Consulting, has been announced as technical partner for MIPIM 2019, for the 30th edition of the global real estate exhibition.

Reed MIDEM, the organisers of MIPIM have appointed Deetu to use its digital maps to enhance the delegate experience for the 26,000 participants it receives every year in Cannes.

The first step will be supplying an interactive world delegate map, which will initially be showcased at this week’s MIPIM UK event. Available to registered attendees both through the MIPIM website, and during the event itself on large touch screens. this will allow potential delegates to quickly see where other participants are coming from around the world.

Associate at Deetu, Josh Dickerson, told PlaceTech: “Whether you’re an investor looking for returns, a developer with a project to promote or a city which wants to regenerate, it’s the single most important showcase on the built environment’s international calendar.

“Reed MIDEM wants all the attendees to make the most of their time at the event, so one of our initial actions as technical partner is to create the first interactive world map of MIPIM delegates, allowing people to quickly find out where fellow attendees are coming from and decide who they want to meet.”

This won’t be the first of Deetu’s proptech innovations to be showcased at MIPIM. The company’s Explore platform was showcased at MIPIM last year as part of Invest in Nottingham and Sheffield City Region. The platform enables users to visualise, explain and promote an individual development, a property portfolio, a regeneration zone or even an entire city on a phone or a tablet.

“At Deetu, we are passionate about places,” continues Josh. “Our Explore platform has already been adopted by several UK cities to aid in ‘digital storytelling’ after we first showcased it at MIPIM last year and we are thrilled to be going back to Cannes with something new.”
