VTS appoints chief product officer after reaching 10bn sq ft milestone
The fast-growing leasing and asset management platform has appointed software executive Gijo Mathew as chief product officer, at the same time as announcing that 10bn sq ft of commercial space is now being managed via VTS, across 35 countries.
VTS, founded in New York in 2011, said 2018 was its most successful year to date. The UK side of the business doubled in size and now enjoys having one in every three square feet of office space in Central London live on VTS. Total floorspace in Europe on the platform is 1bn sq ft.
Nick Romito, CEO of VTS, said the property market was “embracing [its] offerings…at an unprecedented rate”.
Gijo Mathew joined VTS from Web.com, a large US company that provides domain name registration and web development services, where he served as chief product officer for two years and was responsible for a product portfolio that generated more than $800m in revenue.
He has also held senior product leadership roles at software vendor Nimsoft, regulatory IP advisor Orchestria, and CA Technologies, one of the largest independent software businesses in the world.
At VTS, Mathew will oversee and drive product vision to develop and deliver fresh market offerings. On joining VTS, he said that “it is incredible to be a part of the revolution in the commercial real estate sector, especially at such a pivotal time”.
Mathew’s hire also follows the announcement of three new products: VTS 3, the next generation of the leasing and asset management platform which includes business intelligence, VTS MarketView which allows users to access real-time market benchmarking, and VTS marketplace for tenants and landlords to interact and lease space.
