VergeSense strikes deal with JLL

Workplace analytics platform VergeSense has entered into a global reseller agreement with JLL, significantly expanding its access to clients amid a rapid evolution in office space use.

JLL said the deal will give its clients the data they need “to power the evolution of the hybrid workspace” as parts of the world start to open up again and return to the office.

Collecting real time data about how workspaces are used, VergeSense, a JLL Spark portfolio company, helps customers understand how to make their offices more efficient and effective. For example, it collects data on the movement of people, showing where they are gathering and how they are using amenities.

JLL Spark first invested in the company in 2018. Since then, JLL Technologies, the business division of JLL that delivers its technology solutions, has deployed VergeSense’s technology in several JLL offices around the world, including JLLT’s corporate HQ in San Francisco.

VergeSense, which previously credited JLL Spark for its role in the company’s expansion, has clients in 29 countries, collecting data across more than 40m sq ft of workspace.

It recently added customers Cisco, Fresenius, Telus and Rapid7, and, following its reseller agreement with JLL, the firm is pursuing deeper integrations with JLLT and partners including JLL Jet, iOffice and FM:Systems.

Yishai Lerner, co-CEO of JLLT, said: “VergeSense provides JLL and our clients with the data necessary to power the evolution of the hybrid workplace and the safe return to offices.

“Not only does real-time data from VergeSense deep-learning sensors offer unprecedented visibility into how spaces work, but it also facilities a better, more productive and safer employee experience.”
