Property marketplace TheHouseShop has announced it is integrating with Facebook Marketplace to offer its agency rental properties free listings on the social media platform.
Following sign ups from Zoopla and OnTheMarket in September this year, TheHouseShop is now the third property site to integrate with Facebook Marketplace.
Agents working with TheHouseShop can now use the platform to market their properties to potential buyers both on Facebook and the wider web. TheHouseShop hopes its Facebook Marketplace integration will be particularly attractive for smaller estate agents who may not have the budget to list with the large agent-only portals.
The announcement closely follows TheHouseShop’s equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, offering investors a chance to own a stake in the company.
Launched in 2016 by ex-MD of CitiGroup, Sebastien Goldenberg, and serial property entrepreneur, Nick Marr, TheHouseShop was created with the aim of bringing the entire property market under one roof. The duo developed a model that allowed them to work with everyone involved in the property market. By allowing both private individuals and estate agents free access to the platform, TheHouseShop aims to create an “Amazon-style” marketplace where private and professional players sit alongside one another.
