Telcom launches wholesale arm

Manchester-based business internet provider Telcom has launched Telcom Wholesale, which will allow its partners greater and cheaper access to data.

Telcom Wholesale offers its partners a route to upstream carriers such as Openreach SSE, and TalkTalk. Upstream carriers provide the ability to send outgoing data such as emails or uploading a file. Telcom Wholesale also offers access to existing fibre networks such as The Loop and CityFibre.

Telcom has also developed a portal which gives partners access to a range of national carriers for faster data access. As more businesses move towards a wholly cloud-dependant operating structure, Telcom Wholesale aims to provide a more affordable infrastructure with greater bandwidth and capacity.

Telcom Wholesale has an ambitious growth strategy over the next few years, including extending the offering to include cloud services, unified communications, and access to its international Voice over Internet Protocol service. VoIP is technology that allows you to make voice calls using broadband instead of via telephone lines.
