US venture capitalist Shadow Ventures is launching an international accelerator programme.
The accelerator is targeted at early-stage architecture, engineering, construction and commercial real estate technology companies.
The non-equity based programme will provide companies with an opportunity to vet their product, engage in customer discovery, and connect with industry partners to successfully enter the market.
This 9-week program will match startups enrolled in the incubator with corporate sponsors and mentors, providing them with the insight and support they need to go from idea to venture fundable company.
Although Shadow Ventures is located in Atlanta, Georgia, the program is remote, meaning startups from around the world are encouraged to apply. The accelerator will run entirely off Slack and Zoom Video Conference platforms, though startups will have an opportunity to attend the kick-off and demo days in person should they wish.
Shadow Ventures states the accelerator will work as a “flipped classroom”, with curriculum content recorded and contact time with mentors. The mentors and advisors working on the programme have not been announced, though they will be industry professionals or technical specialists.
Shadow Ventures was founded by entrepreneur and investor KP Reddy. The mission of the venture capital firm is to invest in seed-stage companies that are led by dynamic entrepreneurs focused on changing industries through technology.
