PlaceTech welcomes Node as annual partner

PlaceTech has agreed an annual partnership with Node, which provides hassle-free internet connectivity for buildings, to jointly deliver activity aimed at promoting tech adoption in property.

Doug Ward, business development director at Node, said: “Node is delighted to be an official partner of PlaceTech in 2019 and we are looking forward to not only strengthening our relationships with the property sector but working towards simplifying the proptech proposition for all stakeholders. We are excited for the year ahead and introducing Node to some of Europe and America’s biggest landowners.”

Annual partnership packages are for strategic property companies that want to raise their profiles and extend markets by championing tech adoption, thought leadership and product development. PlaceTech annual partners help shape our calendar of events offline as well as investment in our unique online editorial platform for the proptech community.

Paul Unger, editor of PlaceTech, said: “Doug Ward and Shaun Gibson are real innovators with a passion for improving internet services. Node is an ideal partner for PlaceTech and we look forward to bringing Node to our audience around the globe throughout next year.”

Node is the communications ‘pluggable’ interface for buildings, providing  a secure and supplier agnostic telecommunications point of presence for buildings. Node is a smart technology solution, setting a new standard in physical connectivity infrastructure that equips buildings with a digital nervous system. The vertically integrated hardware and software along with a neutral host fibre network enable landlords to offer the best connectivity and improved data security solution for their users.

Manchester-based Node is already used by Schroders, ALL+, Legal & General, Fore Partnership, Allied London and Bruntwood. Providing critical infrastructure for billions of pounds worth of property across the UK.

Node works by preconnecting every home or office in a development. When you move in, you have internet from day one, as well as the freedom to switch to your favourite provider whenever you want. Just select the provider you want on the Node portal and your connection will be migrated across for you. No disruption, no installation.

Doug added: “Landlords love it because it gives them control of the internet infrastructure in their developments while taking care of all the technical aspects for them. Tenants love it because it makes the process fast and smooth. ISPs love it because Node solves the last 100m problem of them having to wire into each individual units. Node has now progressed from being a foundational element of a property’s technology stack, to a holistic suite of solutions, Node 2.0 focuses on connectivity and data security for landlords and occupiers.”

The deal was announced at the first PlaceTech Big Night Out on Tuesday, attended by 200 property and technology people.

PlaceTech launched in February and is now read by more than 11,000 people each month, with a growing database receiving our totally free content via the weekly newsletter.

PlaceTech annual partners in 2018 are Mills & Reeve, Bruntwood and MSP, OBI, Redwood Consulting. The Annual Partnership package allows businesses to benefit from PlaceTech’s dedicated platform and global reach, through event sponsorship, advertising, content marketing, event tickets, podcasts, webinars, direct mail and more.
