Hococo passes 10,000-unit landmark with 1927 deal
The Copenhagen-based residential tenant experience and operations SaaS platform has closed a deal with Danish residential real estate developer, 1927 Estate.
The deal takes the total number of residential units using Hococo’s technology across Europe to over 10,000. Hococo was established in 2018 and aims to take its total of units using its app to 30,000 within the next 12 months.
Deployed across five build-to-rent projects, Hococo’s latest roll-out totals 144 units, all located in Jutland, Denmark. The deal is part of a key focus for 1927 in deploying forward-thinking initiatives that align with market trends and consumer exigencies.
With many renters now choosing BTR accommodation for the wider range of amenities and hospitality available, Hococo enables 1927 to connect residents with everything their buildings have to offer. Through the Hococo platform, 1927 can offer round-the-clock hospitality-like service to residents and seamlessly manage building operations and communications. Plus, by providing greater transparency into how residents are engaging with their buildings, 1927 is equipped with key insights to make more informed asset management decisions across all sites.
William Shaw, CEO of Hococo, said: “1927 is a prime example of an owner that’s highly attuned to the needs of modern tenants and has a great ambition to provide quality customer experience across its portfolio. They’ve recognised the value-add that comes with creating a happy environment for occupiers and are investing in it, by deploying the Hococo platform, amongst other initiatives.
“Rolling out across 10,000 units is just the start for us and we’re excited to see what the next few years hold as we continue to expand our presence and offer.”
“Peter Larsen, marketing director and partner at 1927 Estate, added: ”We are always curious about how to enhance the tenant experience through digitisation, which is one of the main reasons we chose to work with Hococo. More specifically, we are trying to minimise the number of different people or providers that a tenant needs to contact to get a problem solved. Our goal with this collaboration is both to improve our response time to solve a tenant’s problem as well as optimising the use of internal resources.”
Hococo recently joined the Reach UK accelerator programme to broaden its network in the country.
