Immersive 3D media technology company Matterport has announced the appointment of former Apple employee Chris Bell as chief marketing officer.
Bell previously served as the head of Worldwide Marketing and Product Management for iTunes, where he was responsible for marketing iTune’s products across 119 countries.
In his new role, Bell will support the growth of Matterport’s cloud-based 3D imagery capturing platform, overseeing the implementation of strategies to optimise brand awareness, global marketing activities and development of new market segments.

Over the past four years, Matterport has experiences quadruple-digit revenue growth. In 2017, the 3D imaging business was named the 26th fasted growing company by Inc. magazine.
Last week, the Matterport announced that it had reached a milestone, having amassed a library of over one million 3D models of real-world environments, which it says is the largest repository of 3D space data in the world.
