Fore secures WiredScore platinum in Leeds

Fore Partnership’s Yorkshire House + Hub has become the latest building to receive a platinum WiredScore rating, and the first office building in Leeds city centre to gain the connectivity accolade.

The top Wired Certified Platinum rating, which accounts for just 10% of WireScore’s rated buildings worldwide, puts Yorkshire House into an elite club of buildings including London’s Shard and Empire State Building in New York.

WiredScore’s internationally recognised certification process allows landlords to understand, improve, and promote their buildings’ digital infrastructure and a high rating is playing an increasingly important role in occupiers’ decisions on which buildings they will rent – and the subsequent value of the property asset.

William Newton, president and European MD for WiredScore, said: “Fore has made a great investment in the digital infrastructure of Yorkshire House. By working closely with WiredScore, Fore has improved the building’s connectivity significantly to achieve a platinum rating. Those efforts demonstrate Fore’s commitment to provide best-in-class connectivity to their tenants.”

Basil Demeroutis, managing partner of Fore, said: “Digital connectivity is one of the key drivers for occupiers, particularly for Leeds’ growing tech sector where high speed connectivity is crucial. It gives a clear signal to the market that Yorkshire House is not only one of the most digitally connected buildings in the city but that its digital infrastructure is future proofed.”

Yorkshire House has recently undergone a major refurbishment to create modern office space that fosters creativity and innovation.  The building is also home to the largest solar PV installation in the city and has been rated BREEAM Excellent for sustainability.

The office space at Yorkshire House is arranged over four floors with remaining space available ranging from 1,905 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft. Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield are the joint agents for the scheme.
