Dwek, real estate technology and innovation lead at KPMG, has been appointed as head of corporate development at the global connectivity rating scheme.
His role at WiredScore will focus on the implementation of the Wired Certification across the UK and Europe, and driving forward the company’s national and international growth strategy, reinforced by a $9m fundraising round.
Dwek started his career at KPMG as a graduate trainee, rising through the ranks to his most recent role which required him to focus on developing tech and innovation consulting strategies for real estate, advising on sustainable growth and scaling startup businesses.
Wired Certification is a recognised digital connectivity rating system for commercial real estate, that offers landlords the opportunity to design and promote their buildings’ digital connectivity to tenants. Buildings receive a rating of silver, gold or platinum.
Speaking about his new role, Dwek said: “I had a really interesting and enjoyable journey at KPMG, working with a number of diverse clients in the tech space and helping proptech companies develop their offering. However, the role at WiredScore presented a new challenge for me, and an opportunity to work from within a sector that I have been heavily engaged with for a number of years.”
“I’ve found it to be a really rewarding role to advise proptech companies on their growth and I’m now looking forward to being at the coal face of the transition the real estate industry is undergoing.”
“WiredScore has an incredibly strong relationship with KPMG, so I look forward to strengthening that as I take on my new role. Given KPMG’s activity and visibility in the market I’m sure there will be crossover with their client base, it’s both inevitable and encouraging.”
Tom Stenhouse, chief financial officer at WiredScore, said Eden’s “knowledge and expertise in implementing innovative strategies” provides him with the “right knowledge base for this role” and the skill set needed to help support our evolving business.”
Dwek also spent nine years as a sergeant in the Metropolitan Police Service, and is currently executive director of TEDxLondon.
There is now over 500m sq ft of office space committed to Wired Certification, with the firm working with more than 500 landlords and developers globally including: Blackrock, British Land and Hines.
