Prague-based IT firm Sharry Europe has raised a seed investment of ‘several million euros’.
This funding will fuel its expansion into other markets, including the US in 2019, and progress on its Sharry Workplace product software, which takes systems, technologies, and services from multiple suppliers and integrates them throughout a building into a single platform with a mobile app.
Its customers include Skanska, HB Reavis, and White Star Real Estate.
For Skanska, it has developed Connected by Skanska, which enables office workers to run their parking, reception, heating, meeting rooms and more from a shared mobile app, and is now used in all of this developer’s office projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
Berlin-based Wunderflats, an online platform that enables users to find and rent furnished apartments, has raised €8m.
Founded in 2014, Wunderflats refers to its product as ‘housing-as-a-service’ and is currently active in the German market.
The round was led by PropTech 1 Ventures. Existing investor Creathor Ventures has also increased its investment.
UK’s Procore, a provider of construction management software, is set to acquire Honest Buildings of the US, which offers project management software for building owners and developers.
The acquisition will allow Procore to create a full-stack platform to manage projects from start to finish.
Together, the companies will use their platforms to create unified financials and cost tracking from the investor or lender to its final spend at the subcontractor or material provider level.
