Crown Estate debuts coworking offer

The Queen’s property company is the latest of many to jump on the coworking bandwagon, as the Crown Estate launches its first flexible office space in London’s West End.

One Heddon Street will offer 350 desks in the form of flexible memberships ranging from private offices, to resident desks and coworking.

The space was built with wellbeing in mind, featuring biophilis design and living walls, extensive use of natural light, adjustable sit-stand desks, and more. The Crown Estate’s HQ was the first to receive a WELL Platinum certification in Europe.

Director of the Crown Estate’s central London portfolio, James Cooksey, said it is the “first in a pipeline of projects” to ensure that the firm “continues to support the changing needs of today’s businesses and their staff.”

Members will be able to draw on shared amenities, including bookable meeting rooms, boardroom, concierge services, a private roof terrace, and flexible events space, as well as a specially curated programme of exercise and wellbeing activities and networking events, giving members an opportunity to network, share and learn.

The Crown Estate is the latest in a long line of property companies to join the coworking scene, following global surveyor CBRE’s Hanadeveloper British Land’s Storey, and IWG’s multiple coworking companies including Spaces, and Knotel.
