CBRE’s Hana sets sights on Manchester

Despite the rise and fall of WeWork, the flexible office market is powering on with CBRE’s coworking offer Hana in talks to open its first UK branch outside London, pinpointing three floors at Windmill Green in Manchester for a potential letting.

It is understood that a leasing deal will be signed in January 2020, and that Hana is also looking at other undisclosed sites in Manchester.

Hana, a subsidiary of CBRE first launched in Dallas in August, has three workspace locations in London, at 245 Hammersmith, 70 St Mary Axe, and St Martins Court.

Fore Partnership’s 78,000 sq ft Windmill Green is located in Manchester city centre. Co-working firm Our.Space had previously agreed to take half of the ground floor and the entire first floor in a letting totalling 13,600 sq ft, which would have been the brand’s Manchester debut. But the deal fell through at the start of the year.

The shared office offers three tiers.

  • Hana Team will provide private customisable office suites to meet the needs of organisations with 15 to 300 employees.
  • Hana Meet is conference and event space that can be rented on an hourly, daily or weekly basis.
  • Hana Share will offer shared desks and coworking environments ideal for small teams and freelancers.
