The app, CF Concierge, will give users access to a range of services within participating buildings. One of the key features as people return to work is the app’s capacity manager, which allows users to control the number of employees allowed back into the office.

Other features include:

  • Mobile key access to the building and office space
  • Reporting maintenance issues
  • Information about events hosted in CF buildings, which users can RSVP to
  • Food and drink orders from local businesses
  • Exclusive offers
  • Real-time transit information

Cadillac Fairview, which has $35bn of assets under management across the Americas and the UK, said it was “eager” to incorporate more tech in its buildings.

So far, the developer has launched the app at two flagship office complexes: CF Toronto Eaten Centre in Toronto, Ontario and CF Pacific Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Karen Jalon, VP, sustainability, energy and smart technology at Cadillac Fairview, said: “At Cadillac Fairview we are committed to delivering exceptional service, and we are thrilled to launch CF Concierge, offering our office clients a seamless workplace experience by providing innovative spaces with digital amenities.

“As we continue to welcome our office clients and their workers back to our office buildings, we’re eager to offer a tech-enabled future for our community of building occupants to empower a frictionless environment that complements the modern workplace experience.”

Mark Rosenthal, COO at HqO, said: “Through the return to offices and beyond, our partnership with Cadillac Fairview and the development of CF Concierge is a compelling archetype of how the workplace can integrate with technology to enhance buildings and their surrounding communities.

“As we continue to expand our reach into Canada and other countries, our work with Cadillac Fairview will help inform our products and services to better serve our customers and the modern workforce.”
