Register now for the first in a European series of quarterly breakfast briefings to take the pulse of the proptech market, being held in Manchester’s Bright Building on Friday 27 April.
PlaceTech Trend Talks will continue in Amsterdam, London and Stockholm over the next 12 months.
Each event will be accompanied by a special report mapping the trends and innovators transforming the sector, distributed to ticket-holders exclusively before being published on PlaceTech.
PlaceTech Trend Talks are delivered in partnership with Bruntwood and Manchester Science Partnerships, OBI Property, Mills & Reeve and Redwood Consulting.
Speakers confirmed include:
Ed Bartlett, who recently sold Kykloud, the mobile asset management software firm he co-founded to large US rival Accruent, will offer his take on the now, near and next of tech adoption in property. Read Bartlett’s guest comment piece on the steps to take for successful proptech adoption.
Tom Renn, managing director of Manchester Science Partnerships, will introduce attendees to MSP’s Bright Building, completed last year and home to Cisco’s Mi-IDEA accelerator and the CityVerve Internet of Things collaboration among other tenants. Renn will also offer an overview of how MSP is installing tech in its buildings and discuss the challenges and opportunities open to developers along their digital property journeys.
Nicola Woods, workplace consultant at OBI Property, which advises many ecommerce companies from Hut Group and AO.com to Rentalcars, will provide a selection of the latest design features tech occupiers are demanding for their offices.
There will be pitch demonstrations from growing tech companies including shopper location analyst Place Dashboard, environmental monitoring system Hark and virtual tour technology Giraffe360.
The event is due to begin at 8am with refreshments and networking and finish around 10.30am.
PlaceTech Trend Talks Manchester will be chaired by Paul Unger, publisher of PlaceTech and Place North West, who will share findings from the Q1 2018 PlaceTech Trend Talks report.
Guests have registered so far for this inaugural Trend Talk from companies including Deloitte, Malcolm Hollis, Kier, Hilson Moran and TEM Property.
