Our client is a fast-growing global consulting firm, focused on leading digital and operational transformation projects for the alternative investment management industry (consisting of private equity, real estate, private debt, credit, infrastructure and hedge funds

Our client is looking to hire a UK-based Marketing Manager to oversee the UK and EMEA marketing function. The Marketing Manager will implement measurable strategies that aid in driving revenue goals and increasing awareness at all levels of the organization’s reach. The position responsibilities include strategy, development and execution of a holistic marketing program for practices supported, including thought leadership and content management, audience targeting and segmentation, and high-profile event management. The successful candidate will collaborate with the global Marketing Lead in New York as well as executive leadership in the UK and Europe.


The Marketing Manager will be charged with bringing the best ideas and knowledge out of the people, projects and partnerships.

  1. Brand – Build the brand strategy (positioning, image and key brand assets e.g. website)
  2. Awareness – Increase awareness of the company (PR, events, speaking opportunities, blogs )
  3. Lead Generation – Drive the business lead generation strategy (this is the more tangible element to segment the audience and drive sales leads) – database, direct marketing,

Key objectives of this role are to:

  • Brand – Work with practice leads to develop and execute a marketing plan that supports the practice’s business development efforts
  • Brand – Research/Competitive Intelligence
  • Brand – Provide strategic guidance for marketing efforts related to competitor analysis/differentiation, messaging and value
  • Brand – Develop content strategy to ensure quality, impactful content available to support marketing priorities (topical news, product functionality, expertise, )
  • Brand – Support content development aligned to strategy, including items such as white papers & thought leadership, case studies, website content, solution overviews, press releases,
  • Awareness – Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to reach target client’s and build the practice’s reputation with key constituents, g.:
  • Thought leadership
  • Events, conferences and sponsorship
  • Conference/sponsorship screening and assessment
  • Email marketing
  • Digital marketing
  • Social media
  • Press releases
  • Awareness – Coordinate with practice leads to create a calendar of events for cross-segment marketing initiatives
  • Awareness – Define and prioritize the key audiences (firms/companies as well as specific contacts within those firms and companies) to whom they should be speaking and marketing
  • Awareness – Develop sponsorship and speaking opportunity calendar and associated business ownership
  • Awareness – Industry research and competitive intelligence
  • Lead Generation – Define, plan and execute events with key vendors / service providers, including planning speakers and participants
  • Lead Generation – Results tracking and analysis
  • Lead Generation – Work with practices to identify target clients and maintain an organized database of those clients / prospects in Salesforce

Experience & Skills

To be considered for this role you will need the following knowledge and skills:

  • Strong understanding and experience of consulting / professional services and the approach to consulting projects – experience in marketing in the services sector
