Hyre PropTech Recruitment is currently partnering with a large proptech customer experience platform business who have a requirement to appoint a number of Business Development Executive roles as they transition through a rapid growth period here in the UK.

Based in Central London the BD Executive will report to the Head of UK Business Development and will play a crucial part in spearheading growth in the UK by managing relationships with target customers which includes Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Asset Managers, Commercial Developers, Property Managers and Agents. Graduates and candidates with approx. 12 months BD experience will be considered.

Key accountabilities

  • You will be responsible for ensuring a healthy pipeline of meetings with prospects, partners and channels
  • The overall goal is to speak with stakeholders in asset management, property management, digital and marketing and arrange meetings for the Head of Business Development UK and/or Head of Business Development – Global Expansion
  • After a period of time (as agreed with Head of BD), you will start attending and leading meetings
  • This is a critical role for the UK team in ensuring coverage of the market and to helping to achieve a dominant market share
  • The successful candidate will work alongside a senior team and be joining the business at an exciting time in its growth in the UK and globally

General duties

  • Maintain open communication and mutual respect with all team members
  • Communicate ideas which may improve the efficiency, performance or standards and be open to the consideration of new ideas
  • Represent the UK Business Development team in a professional manner at all times when dealing with outside contacts
  • Be an ambassador for the organisation
  • Connect with senior stakeholders and arrange meetings for the UK BD team. This will be done by making phone calls, sending email campaigns and via LinkedIn
  • All meetings booked need to have a clear agenda, allocated time and list of attendees
  • Assist with proposal writing and presentations for clients
  • Attending and leading meetings (when agreed with Head of BD)
  • Attending industry events
  • Work with the BD team and broader UK and Global team for pitches and client work
  • When required attend meetings with a senior member of the team, taking down meeting minutes
  • Accurately report on coverage and activity each week
  • Accurately input all activity in CRM
  • Some UK travel will be expected




  • Previous business development experience – 1 year in B2B preferred
  • Interest in real estate and/or technology
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and good grammar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at various stages simultaneously
  • Good time management and organisational skills, including good tracking/follow up skills
  • Ability to communicate with a variety and level of people, including suppliers of high end brands
  • Highly computer literate – Internet savvy
  • Knowledge of real estate and/or technology
  • Experience with CRM
  • Experience with Mac and Google App Suite


  • University degree – any subject
  • Formal sales training – Sandler, Miller Heiman, SPIN (Desirable)

Package and additional

  • Salary: £30k + £10k OTE Bonus
  • Hours: Flexible working required however the company generally run a 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday working week
  • Location: Central London, UK travel involved occasionally
