`zConstructing in an uncertain world: views on the changing legal and economic landscape and the potential impact of Brexit on the construction industry.
In an ever-changing, and at times, tumultuous legal and economic landscape, it has often been difficult for contractors and the construction industry to predict or attempt to futureproof their businesses. The recent Brexit decision has only served to add to this uncertainty: an extra cloud in the crystal ball for the construction sector.
The conference will explore a variety of topics relevant to the construction sector, with views from within industry, legal and the financial sector. We will be considering a range of issues including a review of the economy and the economic outlook, employment issues, government initiatives relevant to the construction industry and cash/claim recovery – all in the context of this uncertain legal, economic, and post-Brexit world the industry is now facing.
We are delighted to welcome guest speakers:
- Tom Sharman, head of research and strategy, real estate finance, Bank of Scotland
- Dan Rubin, partner, employment team, Hill Dickinson
- Professor Peter McDermott, professor of construction management, University of Salford
- Tricia Morrison, legal director, construction team, Hill Dickinson
- Mary Cross, head of contract services, Glovers Project Services
If you are a contractor or construction professional then please join us for a candid discussion on what the implications could be for you, your company and your future.
