FBE Lancashire: The regeneration of Preston’s iconic bus station
Date: 6 July 2017 - 6 July 2017
Location: The Harris Museum, Market Square, Preston, PR1 2PP
`zOver the years Preston has seen a number of regeneration projects take place to change the face of the city, however most significant perhaps is the project planned for Preston’s iconic Bus Station.
Our July event seeks to provide the opportunity to visit Preston for yourselves and hear from the key figureheads leading the regeneration project. The event will also see a representative from Preston City Council offering insight into further projects around the city and how these play a part in the wider development and growth across the construction sector in Lancashire.
Guest speakers:
John Puttick – architect on the Preston Bus Station Scheme
Guy Topping – chair of Preston Youth Zone
Lorraine Norris – chief executive of Preston City Council
For those in the construction community, the event would also be the perfect opportunity to find out more about how you can support and get involved with the projects planned for Preston, and across Lancashire.
Doors will open at 7am with breakfast being served at 7.30am. We will aim to finish around 9.30am but you are welcome to remain at the venue for additional networking until 10am.
Parking: There are a number of city centre car parks available, we would however recommend Avenham Multistory Car Park, Avenham car park, Syke Street, Preston, PR1 3XA, which opens at 6:45am and is just a short walk from the Harris.
