Join Sensor City’s interim executive director, Joanne Phoenix, for a tour around the global hub for development of sensor technologies, located within Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter.
The 25,000 sq ft building was opened in 2017, after the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, or BEIS, backed the project with a £5m University Enterprise Zone capital investment award. This was matched with £5m from the European Regional Development Fund, or ERDF.
University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University support Sensor City by providing the ecosystem with direct access to expert technical support as required.
Sensor City invites industry and academic partners, from a range of sectors, to translate their sensor concepts into commercially viable solutions.
