Tom Somers, partnerships and ecosystems lead at Arup, said: “We’re really excited to support PlaceTech’s upcoming Industrial and Logistics event on 19 November. We see the sector as a key part of the built environment both in terms of helping the world economy get back on track, and in being able to meet challenging net zero targets.

“Like everyone over the last few months, we have missed the dynamic and educational experience of being at industry events where we can discuss the future of our sector, and that’s why we are so pleased to be able to be involved in this virtual conference.”

PlaceTech: Industrial + Logistics is due to take place on Thursday 19 November from 10am to 12.30pm. This event, like all our events for the remainder of 2020, will be held on the Remo platform, which is a purpose-built virtual event space with networking and superior functionality compared to other video event tools.

Networking Offices

Guests can enjoy the networking vibe of physical conferences

Attendees from Klevio, DLA Architecture, Pinsent Masons, have already registered to attend.

Somers added: “Arup has a huge hand in the industrial and logistics sector, and we are committed to ensuring that we are building things that are sustainable, be that smart grids, our work on HS2 and Crossrail, or redeveloping an old industrial site into China’s first climate-positive project.

“Our long-term aim is to build sustainable futures, and we are keen to work with communities of people who want the same. If that sounds like you, we’re really looking forward to meeting you on the 19th.”

Arup is sponsoring this PlaceTech event alongside our annual partners Node, Mills & Reeve, Mallcomm and Bruntwood Works.
